Ridiculously busy at the moment. Arranging lots of events, courses, yadda yadda. So a quick summary:
- I spent some money frivalously yesterday, on something that wasn’t food. A very unusual event. I recently found a website that has great information about the runes on it, and their interpretation of Mannaz, the rune that I wear every day, is quite different from what I thought it was. They say that it has a lot to do with the intellect. I’ve been reflecting recently that a) wearing a rune that is about community might not be the most appropriate at the moment, when I need to be strong alone and b) that I’ve been too stuck in my head recently. So I read through the rest of their descriptions of the runes, reflected on what I want and need in my life, and decided that Aurochs (also know as Ur or Uruz) is the most fitting. This is their description of it. So after much deliberation, I went to good old Enchanted Glyph and bought myself an Aurochs pendant. My third from them. I nearly got one of their amazing Elemental Rings too, but that would have just been stupid.
- August is turning out to be a bitch of a month. This week there are 3 bookings for therapies. And, yet again, the weather is keeping the customers away. Just keep planning for Sept…
- I txted Angel on Sunday, in a fit of optimistic affection, to tell her about the dream I had. No reply. Silly Alex. Jane agreed with me that doing these things sometimes is a good idea. But still. Silly Alex.
- Moongazy and The Dervish’s daughter is down from London at the moment. Must ask her for an alias. We went for a drink last night, sat on the hoe drinking cider and laughing as cars drove really slowly over the speedbumps. Good night. We’re going out as a gang tonight - me and their family. I’m looking forward to it.
- I’ve found one of those silly things to do that tells people random things about you. This one is a ‘complete the sentence’ one. 40 oportunities to write insightful or silly things about yourself. So when I stop working flat out, I’ll do that. You lucky people!
